-Your Very First Comic Book-

So do you happen to remember the very first comic book you ever purchased? I remember mine. It was the death of Robin in the Batman series "A Death in the Family" in I believe 1989. Although I think I had an issue of "The New Mutants" from the mid 80's, but my folks bought it for me.
But, anyways, let's hear it. Whatchya got?

Uncanny X-men Annual #2 The Return of Mr.Jip was my first marvel comic. I know that much. Up til then my parents just gave me random batman and superman comics.

"You're special because you wear pink shirts and chew on table legs. You're Boo F***ing Radley b**ch. That's right, I went 'To Kill a Mockingbird' on you!"
X-men #3 By Chris Claremont and Jim Lee. One of the deaths of Magento. lol.

Thats teh comic that got me drawing in the first place, so there's no way I could forget it. I actually got it signed by Jim Lee a few years back at the Big Apple Con.

DWK webcomic in progress. :D
After a quick dip into the comics collection, I found it. It was Sonic the Hedgehog No.3 from May '93. It's from the original 3 issue mini series before it became an official monthly.

Not only was it the first comic I ever bought, it was the item that made me realize saving is a good thing. Saved my money for a week and bought myself an expensive comic. Of course, a dollar twenty-five got you more back then. = P

You know... that artist-type guy.
It was a compilation book of the introduction of Impulse. Had the first few issues of the Flash that he appeared in, to introduce him, and then the first 10 issues or so of Impulse. I thought it was HILARIOUS. It was just a really fun series. I started getting Young Justice because I liked Impulse so much, and then started getting Robin cuz of Young Justice and from there spread to anything related to Batman. Detective Comics Batman, Nightwing, etc.

It was a Richie Rich comic. Not sure which exactly, but I only own like, half a dozen, so it was one of those, lol.
